One of the primary ways in which technology has contributed to environmental degradation is through the production and use of non-renewable resources. The increasing demand for energy, coupled with the widespread use of fossil fuels, has resulted in air and water pollution, deforestation, and climate change. For instance, the burning of coal, oil, and natural gas has led to a significant rise in greenhouse gas emissions, which are the primary drivers of global warming.
