While it is true that extracting natural resources can provide immediate economic benefits, the long-term consequences should not be overlooked.

The overexploitation of resources such as water, forests, and minerals can result in depletion and even extinction of species that rely on them. For example, deforestation for agricultural purposes has led to the loss of biodiversity and habitats, disrupting the delicate balance of ecosystems. This not only affects the flora and fauna but also threatens human livelihoods, as many communities depend on these natural resources for their sustenance.

Moreover, over-extraction of non-renewable resources like fossil fuels contributes significantly to air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and climate change.
