On one hand, there are those who argue that society is becoming less concerned about income inequality. They point out that in many developed countries, there has been a shift away from traditional class-based societies towards a more individualistic culture. This change has led to a focus on personal success rather than collective well-being, which may result in a diminished sense of shared responsibility for addressing income disparities.

On the other hand, it can also be argued that society is increasingly concerned about income inequality. The rise of social media and other digital platforms has allowed people from all walks of life to share their experiences and perspectives with a global audience. As a result, issues like income inequality have come into sharp focus, leading to increased activism and calls for governments to take action to reduce disparities.

Moreover, the economic downturn experienced during the 2008 financial crisis highlighted the dangers of extreme wealth concentration. This has sparked a renewed interest in income redistribution policies and a greater push for more equitable societies. Governments have been compelled to address these concerns by implementing policies such as higher taxation on the wealthy and investing in social welfare programs.

In conclusion, while it may be difficult to determine whether society as a whole is becoming more or less concerned about income inequality, it is clear that the issue has gained significant attention in recent years.
