In the context of addressing economic inequality, social justice plays a crucial role, both as an ideological framework and as a practical approach. This essay will discuss the ways in which social justice can help address economic inequality, and its limitations in achieving this goal, with relevant examples.

Firstly, social justice promotes equal opportunities by advocating for policies that eliminate discriminatory practices based on race, gender, or socio-economic backgrounds. For instance, affirmative action policies have been implemented in education and employment sectors to ensure underrepresented groups receive fair consideration for opportunities. This helps reduce the wealth gap between different social classes, as people from disadvantaged backgrounds are given a chance to access resources and opportunities that were previously unavailable to them.

Secondly, social justice fosters a more compassionate society by raising awareness about the challenges faced by marginalized groups.
