On one hand, it can be argued that society is becoming more supportive of government intervention due to several factors. Firstly, the increasing complexity of global challenges such as climate change, terrorism, and economic inequality has led many people to believe that only the government has the resources and expertise to tackle these issues effectively. For example, the implementation of policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions or addressing income inequality demonstrates the government's role in shaping societal outcomes.
Secondly, during times of crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the public often turns to the government for support and protection.
