On the one hand, there are strong arguments in favor of the idea that technology is exacerbating income inequality. However, these opportunities are primarily available to those with access to advanced education and specialized skills, which often correlates with higher socioeconomic backgrounds. As a result, the wealth generated by these well-paid positions is disproportionately concentrated among a privileged few, widening the income gap between the haves and have-nots.

Additionally, automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are rapidly replacing low-skilled jobs in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, and customer service.
