Social media has revolutionized communication by providing a platform for individuals to express their opinions and thoughts freely. In conclusion, while it is essential to protect freedom of expression and avoid stifling innovation, governments should play an active role in regulating social media platforms to safeguard public interest. This involves setting clear guidelines for content moderation, ensuring transparency in algorithms, and promoting digital literacy among citizens. By striking a balance between the two perspectives, governments can harness the positive aspects of social media while mitigating its potential harms.
