Conversely, others contend that resistance to change is on the rise, primarily driven by factors like fear of the unknown, conservatism, and a strong sense of identity. In this essay, I will analyze both perspectives before presenting my own viewpoint.

The first perspective, which suggests that society is becoming more adaptable, can be attributed to several key factors. Firstly, increased access to education has led to a higher level of awareness about the importance of innovation and adaptation in today's world. As people become more informed, they are better equipped to embrace change as an inevitable part of progress. Furthermore, advancements in communication technologies have facilitated the sharing of ideas and experiences across borders, fostering a global community that is increasingly open to new concepts and ways of life. This has resulted in greater tolerance for diversity and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

On the other hand, there are those who believe that resistance to change is becoming more prevalent. They argue that this can be attributed to several key factors. For instance, people often resist change out of fear of the unknown. As societies become increasingly complex, individuals may find it challenging to navigate the intricacies of new systems and practices, leading them to prefer maintaining the status quo. Additionally, conservatism is another factor that contributes to this resistance. People with strong conservative values are less likely to embrace change, as they view tradition and continuity as essential for maintaining social cohesion and order. Lastly, a strong sense of identity can also impede adaptability. Individuals who strongly identify with their culture or group may feel threatened by external changes and be more resistant to adopting new ways of thinking and behaving.

In conclusion, while it is evident that society has become more adaptable in many respects due to factors such as education, communication, and exposure to diverse cultures, there are also valid reasons to believe that resistance to change remains a significant concern. Ultimately, the extent to which societies embrace or resist change is multifaceted and depends on numerous factors such as individual values, cultural norms, and the pace of technological advancement.
