Firstly, grading and standardized testing often lead to a narrow focus on the subjects that are tested rather than fostering a holistic approach to education. By placing emphasis on specific topics and skills, students may neglect other critical areas such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which cannot be measured by traditional assessments. As a result, these tests promote a superficial understanding of the material, ultimately hindering students' overall development.
