For example, Instagram influencers have capitalized on the platform's massive user base to promote products, attract sponsorships, and earn a substantial living from their online presence. Additionally, social media has facilitated the spread of valuable information, such as job opportunities and educational resources, that can help people advance in their careers or obtain the necessary qualifications for higher-paying jobs.

On the other hand, social networks can also exacerbate existing economic disparities. The content shared on these platforms often reflects the values, interests, and experiences of a particular demographic group. As a result, individuals from underprivileged backgrounds may be less likely to find relatable content or support networks on social media, which could limit their access to valuable information and opportunities.
