On one hand, it can be argued that society is becoming more supportive of government regulation due to a variety of reasons. Firstly, the rise in environmental issues has led many people to call for stronger regulations. For instance, the alarming rate of deforestation and pollution have raised public awareness about the consequences of unchecked industrialization. In response, some argue that governments should impose stricter regulations on businesses to protect the environment and ensure sustainable practices.

Secondly, the increasing number of financial crises has also contributed to a shift in societal attitudes towards government regulation. Many people are now demanding greater oversight of financial institutions to prevent future economic meltdowns. This growing call for regulation can be attributed to the desire for more stable and secure economies.
