The use of CCTV cameras, facial recognition software, and data mining techniques allows for the collection and analysis of vast amounts of personal information. This increased capacity to monitor individuals has created an environment where privacy is potentially more at risk than ever before.

On the other hand, there are those who argue that society is becoming more concerned about privacy. The rise in cybercrime and identity theft have sparked a greater awareness of the importance of protecting personal information. Governments and organizations around the world have implemented stricter data protection regulations to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access. Additionally, the backlash against controversial surveillance programs such as the NSA's PRISM has shown that public opinion can influence policy, leading to a stronger emphasis on privacy rights.

In conclusion, while it is true that technological advancements and societal changes may have reduced some individuals' concern for their privacy, overall, society appears to be increasingly aware of the importance of protecting personal information. The implementation of stricter data protection laws and public backlash against invasive surveillance programs indicate that concern for privacy remains a significant issue in modern societies. As such, it is essential for governments, organizations, and individuals alike to continue prioritizing privacy rights in order to create a safer and more secure world.
