Firstly, food insecurity can have a considerable impact on a student's academic performance. A well-nourished child is better equipped to learn and focus in class, whereas a hungry child may struggle to concentrate or even fall asleep due to lack of energy. Research has shown that malnutrition can lead to cognitive impairment, affecting memory, attention span, and problem-solving skills (World Food Programme, 2018).
