In this essay, I will examine both sides of this argument and provide a conclusion based on the available evidence.

On one hand, it is evident that social media platforms have played a significant role in increasing the responsiveness of society to public opinion. The rapid spread of information through these channels allows individuals to voice their opinions and share their thoughts with a wider audience. This has led to a situation where public opinion can quickly gain momentum and influence decision-making processes. For instance, numerous cases have emerged where public outrage on social media has prompted corporations to reconsider their policies or actions. Moreover, social media campaigns have been successful in raising awareness about various social issues and bringing about change at a grassroots level.
