Instead, mutual respect and tolerance should be promoted as an alternative approach to ensure harmonious relationships between different cultures.

Cultural assimilation is the process by which individuals from a minority culture adopt the customs, language, and traditions of the majority culture in order to integrate into society. Proponents of cultural assimilation argue that it helps create a unified national identity and simplifies communication and decision-making processes within a diverse society. For instance, a shared language can facilitate trade and commerce, as well as ease of governance.

However, opponents of cultural assimilation contend that it can lead to the loss of cultural diversity, which is essential for preserving the richness and uniqueness of different societies.
