Through platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, people can stay in touch with friends and family members who live far away or whom they don't see often. This constant connectivity can help strengthen bonds between individuals by facilitating the exchange of thoughts, ideas, and experiences. However, this same ease of communication can also lead to superficial interactions where depth of conversation is sacrificed for the sheer volume of messages exchanged.

Secondly, social media has created new avenues for self-expression and self-promotion. Users can share their personal stories, opinions, and creative works with a vast audience, receiving instant feedback in the form of likes, comments, or shares. While this can boost self-confidence and provide a sense of belonging, it may also foster a culture of validation seeking, where individuals prioritize external approval over genuine self-reflection.

Moreover, social media has played a significant role in mobilizing social movements and raising awareness about various issues.
