One of the most noticeable effects of climate change on agriculture is the alteration of weather patterns. Extreme droughts, floods, and erratic rainfall have become more frequent, making it difficult for farmers to predict and adapt their farming practices accordingly. For instance, prolonged periods of drought can lead to crop failure, while excessive rainfall can cause soil erosion and reduce the availability of arable land. Both situations result in a decrease in food production, which in turn threatens global food security.

Another significant impact of climate change on agriculture is the loss of arable land due to rising sea levels, desertification, and increased temperatures. As sea levels rise, low-lying coastal areas that were once fertile agricultural lands are submerged under water, reducing the total amount of arable land available for food production.
