On one hand, there are several compelling arguments in favor of implementing bans on single-use plastics. Firstly, these plastic products have a detrimental effect on the environment. They are non-biodegradable, which means they persist in the ecosystem for hundreds of years, causing harm to wildlife and marine life. Additionally, single-use plastics contribute significantly to the growing problem of plastic pollution in our oceans. Millions of tons of plastic waste enter the world's oceans every year, endangering marine species and disrupting the food chain.

Secondly, a ban on single-use plastics could encourage the development and use of eco-friendly alternatives.
