Those who lack the necessary qualifications to transition into new roles within these automated sectors are left without jobs or with significantly reduced earning potential. On the other hand, there is also a strong argument that technology has the potential to alleviate income inequality. For example, the rise of e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Etsy has provided opportunities for individuals to sell products online, thereby creating new avenues for entrepreneurship and supplementing their incomes.
