One argument in favor of a longer school day is that it allows students to cover more material, which can lead to better academic achievement. With more time dedicated to learning, students have the opportunity to explore various subjects in-depth, develop critical thinking skills, and enhance their understanding of complex concepts. Additionally, extending the school day may provide students with extra support in areas where they struggle, helping them overcome difficulties and improve their performance.

On the other hand, a longer school day could result in negative consequences for students' well-being.
