This essay will discuss both perspectives and provide evidence to support the assertion that society is becoming less tolerant of dissenting opinions.

Firstly, the proliferation of social media has provided a platform for individuals to express their thoughts and opinions on a wide range of topics. While this can be seen as promoting open discourse and dialogue, it can also lead to the formation of echo chambers, where people are exposed only to viewpoints that align with their own beliefs.
