This essay will argue that reducing our dependence on fossil fuels is essential for both environmental and economic reasons.

Firstly, the reduction in the use of fossil fuels can have a significant impact on global warming. Burning fossil fuels releases large amounts of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO₂), which trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, causing temperatures to rise.
