On the other hand, some may argue that it is not the responsibility of schools to provide such items and that parents should ensure their children are well-prepared with everything they need for school. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument before presenting my own viewpoint on the matter.

Firstly, providing free sanitary products in schools can be seen as a step towards gender equality and reducing the stigma associated with menstruation. For many students, particularly those from low-income families, access to affordable hygiene products can be challenging. As a result, they may resort to using makeshift alternatives which can lead to health issues. By offering free sanitary products in schools, it ensures that all students have equal access to these essential items and no girl has to miss school due to lack of resources.

They believe that the responsibility of providing such items lies with parents who should ensure their children are prepared with all necessary items before starting school. In addition, some schools may not have the budget to accommodate this extra expenditure and prioritizing education resources might be more important.

Personally, I believe that schools should provide free sanitary products for students as it promotes a more equitable environment where no girl is left behind due to lack of access to necessary hygiene items. Furthermore, investing in the health and well-being of students can lead to improved academic performance and overall happiness. While the cost might be an initial concern, long-term benefits outweigh this potential drawback.
