This essay will discuss the various ways in which urban green spaces can help enhance air quality and examine the challenges faced in implementing this approach.

Firstly, urban green spaces, such as parks, gardens, and green roofs, can act as natural filters for pollutants in the air. Trees and plants absorb harmful gases like carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which are released during combustion processes. Moreover, they release oxygen back into the atmosphere, effectively reducing the concentration of pollutants. Additionally, green spaces can help reduce dust particles in the air by trapping them on their surfaces or absorbing them through their roots, leading to a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.

Secondly, urban green spaces promote better weather conditions by providing shade and cooling effects.
