On one hand, it can be argued that making cultural institutions free would have several benefits. Firstly, it would encourage a broader demographic of people to visit these establishments. For example, individuals from lower-income backgrounds may not be able to afford the entrance fees currently charged by some institutions. By offering free admission, these people would have equal opportunities to learn and experience culture, which could lead to increased social cohesion and a more informed public.

Secondly, providing free access could stimulate tourism and boost local economies. Tourists often prioritize visiting museums, art galleries, and historical sites when traveling, and if these institutions are free, it may encourage more people to visit the area.
