This essay will argue that while some aspects of society have become less resistant to change due to increased exposure to global perspectives, other factors have contributed to an increase in resistance to social change overall.

One reason for the growing resistance to social change is the fear of losing cultural identity and tradition. As societies become more interconnected through globalization, individuals may feel threatened by the influx of new ideas and practices that challenge their long-held beliefs and customs. This sense of apprehension can manifest itself as reluctance towards embracing new ways of thinking or behaving, thus creating a barrier against change.

Additionally, rapid technological advancements have outpaced many people's ability to adapt. The digital divide, which refers to the gap between those who have access to technology and those who do not, exacerbates this issue. For example, older generations may find it difficult to navigate new platforms or learn how to use smartphones, leading them to resist changes that they perceive as overwhelming or unnecessary.
