Firstly, international cooperation allows for the sharing of knowledge, resources, and expertise that each nation possesses. By pooling their strengths, countries can develop innovative solutions to environmental challenges that would be difficult or impossible to achieve individually. For example, the Paris Agreement, signed in 2015, is a global effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change. Over 190 nations have committed to taking action under this agreement, demonstrating the power of international cooperation in driving positive change.

Secondly, collaboration between nations helps to create and enforce regulations that protect the environment. Many environmental issues transcend national borders, making it necessary for countries to work together to establish and maintain effective policies.
