In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives and ultimately conclude that adapting cultural traditions is essential to address contemporary issues.

On one hand, it can be argued that cultural traditions are the backbone of a society's identity. They provide a sense of belonging and continuity for members of the community. By retaining traditional practices, cultures maintain their unique characteristics, which contribute to the richness and diversity of human civilization. For example, certain rituals and customs passed down through generations serve as a means of preserving history, teaching moral values, and fostering social cohesion. If these traditions are abandoned in the name of modernization, they may be lost forever, leading to a loss of cultural heritage.

On the other hand, it is important to recognize that societies evolve over time due to advancements in technology, science, and social awareness.
