For example, Singapore has developed a comprehensive traffic management system that relies on advanced sensors, cameras, and artificial intelligence algorithms to monitor and manage the flow of vehicles throughout the city. This not only alleviates traffic problems but also reduces air pollution and carbon emissions, ultimately contributing to a healthier environment.

Additionally, smart cities can improve energy consumption and resource management through the implementation of intelligent grids and waste management systems. For instance, in Copenhagen, Denmark, an advanced district heating system uses excess heat generated from power plants to warm homes and businesses, thereby reducing overall energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
