Firstly, financial incentives such as tax breaks, rebates, and subsidized charging infrastructure can make electric vehicles more affordable for consumers. Currently, the upfront cost of an electric vehicle is significantly higher than that of a traditional internal combustion engine vehicle. By offering subsidies, governments can reduce this financial barrier, making EVs more accessible to a broader range of consumers. This increased adoption would help accelerate the transition from fossil fuel-powered vehicles to sustainable alternatives, thereby reducing reliance on non-renewable resources and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

Secondly, promoting electric vehicles can contribute to sustainable development goals, such as clean energy use and climate action.
