While some argue that society is becoming less concerned about income inequality due to economic growth and upward mobility, others believe that the problem has only worsened.

On one hand, it can be said that society is less concerned about income inequality because of economic growth in certain regions. For instance, the rise of emerging economies like China and India has led to a significant increase in the number of people moving out of poverty. This shift has contributed to a more optimistic outlook on global wealth distribution, which may have reduced the urgency with which income inequality is perceived as an issue.

Additionally, the concept of upward mobility - the idea that individuals can rise above their socioeconomic background through hard work and determination - has also played a role in lessening concern about income inequality. The stories of successful self-made entrepreneurs and celebrities who rose from modest beginnings have reinforced this belief.

On the other hand, it can be argued that society is becoming more concerned about income inequality due to several reasons. Firstly, there has been an increase in access to information and data related to income disparities, which has raised public awareness of the issue. The media's focus on income inequality and its effects, such as increased crime rates, health problems, and political unrest, have contributed to a more profound understanding of the problem.

In conclusion, while there are arguments that suggest society is becoming less concerned about income inequality due to economic growth and upward mobility, it can be argued that society's awareness and concern about income inequality have increased due to factors such as media coverage, social activism, and political debates.
