Cultural appropriation refers to the adoption or use of elements from one culture by members of another culture, often without the permission or understanding of the original culture. This act can have various consequences for marginalized groups, who may feel that their culture is being exploited, trivialized, or commercialized for the benefit of dominant cultures.
