Through social networking sites like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat, individuals can share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences with others around the world. This exposure to diverse cultures and perspectives can broaden the minds of young people and promote understanding and tolerance in an increasingly globalized society. Moreover, social media has also facilitated the formation of online communities where like-minded individuals can come together to discuss shared interests and create a sense of belonging. In this way, social media can be seen as fostering a strong sense of community and support among the youth.

On the other hand, social media can also have a detrimental impact on the mental health and wellbeing of young people.
