One major factor that has led to increased concerns about privacy is the rise of social media platforms and digital communication tools. As people increasingly share their personal lives online, they become more aware of the potential risks associated with divulging sensitive information. For instance, cybercrime, identity theft, and data breaches have become more prevalent in recent years, leading to a greater emphasis on protecting one's privacy. Moreover, governments and corporations collect vast amounts of user data, raising questions about how this information is stored, used, and shared without the individual's consent.

On the other hand, there are some indicators that suggest society may be growing less concerned about privacy. The willingness to share personal information on social media platforms, for example, demonstrates a level of comfort with disclosing details about one's life.
