Similarly, the women's suffrage movement, spearheaded by activists like Emmeline Pankhurst, played a crucial role in granting women the right to vote in many countries. These examples demonstrate that activism has been an effective tool for driving social change and can be considered as a catalyst.

However, it is essential to consider other factors that contribute to social change. For instance, legislation and policies enacted by governments can have a significant impact on society.
