Firstly, international agreements play a crucial role in fostering collaboration among nations to address climate change effectively. By setting common goals and targets, these agreements encourage countries to work together towards a shared objective. For instance, the Paris Agreement, which has been signed by 196 parties, aims to limit global warming to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels. Such cooperation not only helps in pooling resources but also ensures that the efforts of each nation contribute to the collective goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Secondly, international agreements also serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and capacity building among nations.
