Firstly, women have demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental conservation through grassroots initiatives, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and academic research. For instance, the Green Belt Movement in Kenya, founded by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Maathai, has empowered local women to restore degraded lands and protect natural resources. Additionally, numerous female researchers have contributed significantly to the fields of environmental science and sustainability, such as Jane Goodall's groundbreaking work with chimpanzees in Tanzania and the research conducted by Dr. Sylvia Earle on marine conservation.

Secondly, women often prioritize the interconnectedness of human welfare and environmental health.
