This increased access to information has the potential to make people more informed voters, which could lead to better decision-making in democratic societies.

Furthermore, social media enables individuals to connect with politicians, activists, and organizations that align with their values. In this way, social media has the potential to empower citizens by giving them a voice in the political arena.
