The production process, particularly in industrialized countries, often involves the use of non-renewable resources such as oil, coal, and gas, contributing to air pollution, deforestation, and habitat destruction. Additionally, the manufacturing of goods generates a large amount of waste, much of which ends up in landfills or pollutes water sources.
Secondly, the culture of consumerism has led to a throwaway mentality among consumers. The desire for the newest and latest products often results in the premature disposal of items that could have been repaired or recycled, adding to the ever-increasing volume of waste. This not only contributes to the depletion of natural resources but also places an enormous burden on waste management systems worldwide.
