This essay will discuss both these viewpoints and provide a conclusion based on the advantages of incorporating financial education into the school curriculum.

One of the main arguments in favour of teaching personal finance in schools is that it provides students with valuable life skills they can use in their adult lives. For example, understanding how to create and stick to a budget, save money, and make informed investment decisions are all crucial skills for managing one's finances. Additionally, learning about financial responsibility from a young age can help prevent financial hardship and debt in the future.

On the other hand, some people believe that schools should focus on more traditional academic subjects such as math, science, and literature. They argue that personal finance can be taught outside of school through family discussions or extracurricular activities like clubs or workshops.
