In this essay, I will discuss both viewpoints and present my own opinion on whether schools should have a longer school day or year.
Firstly, proponents of a longer school day argue that it would allow for more time dedicated to extracurricular activities, which are essential for the overall development of students. These activities not only help in improving a student's physical health but also contribute to their emotional and social well-being. Additionally, they argue that a longer school day can provide students with the opportunity to engage in additional study and catch up on any lessons they may have missed during the regular school hours.
