Firstly, social media has significantly increased political awareness among the general public. Through Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms, politicians can now directly engage with their constituents, sharing their policies and views. Conversely, citizens can also voice their opinions and hold political figures accountable. This interaction fosters a more informed electorate, leading to higher voter turnout and better-informed choices during elections.

Secondly, social media has the potential to foster a sense of community among people who share common political beliefs or values. Online forums, discussion groups, and interest-based pages enable individuals to connect with like-minded individuals, forming a support network. This strong community can motivate people to become more politically active, whether by attending rallies, joining campaigns, or engaging in debates.
