This essay will discuss whether sustainable tourism can indeed be a viable replacement to mass tourism by examining its benefits, challenges, and the overall feasibility.

On one hand, there are several advantages to sustainable tourism over mass tourism. Firstly, it encourages environmental protection and conservation efforts, which can help preserve natural resources for future generations. This is achieved through practices such as reducing waste, minimizing resource consumption, and implementing energy-efficient measures in accommodation facilities. Secondly, sustainable tourism promotes the preservation of cultural heritage, thereby maintaining the authenticity of local customs and traditions.
