This can indirectly affect air quality by reducing the need for air conditioning and energy consumption.

Additionally, green spaces contribute to improved air quality through their capacity to absorb and break down pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. The vegetation in these areas can capture these pollutants, which can then be either stored or broken down by microorganisms into less harmful substances.
