On one hand, technology has played a significant role in promoting sustainable living. For instance, renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines have made it possible for individuals to generate their own electricity, reducing their reliance on non-renewable resources. Furthermore, smart home systems that monitor and optimize energy usage can contribute to more energy-efficient lifestyles. In addition, electric vehicles and public transportation systems, supported by advanced technology, are becoming increasingly popular as sustainable alternatives to fossil fuel-powered transportation.

On the other hand, technology may inadvertently hinder sustainable living through the proliferation of consumerism and waste production. The rapid development and obsolescence of electronic devices contribute to a throwaway culture that is detrimental to the environment. Additionally, digital media consumption has led to an increase in screen time and sedentary lifestyles, which may have negative impacts on physical health and well-being.
