Furthermore, aging populations across the globe necessitate more government assistance in the form of healthcare and pension systems.

Advocates for this viewpoint point out that neoliberal policies have led to a reduction in welfare programs, pushing citizens towards self-reliance. Moreover, the rise of privatization and deregulation in various sectors has contributed to less reliance on government assistance as individuals are encouraged to rely on market mechanisms instead.
