Furthermore, the growing awareness of social and environmental issues, as well as the impact of globalization and the shift towards more democratic societies, have contributed to an increase in political engagement. While it is difficult to quantify the exact extent of this change, there is no denying that the level of political activism has increased in recent times.

On the other hand, one could argue that society is becoming less engaged in political activism. This perspective is based on the idea that people are increasingly disillusioned with politics and the traditional institutions of democracy. The rise of populist leaders, combined with distrust in mainstream media and government institutions, has created a sense of cynicism among many citizens. Additionally, the focus on individualism and self-interest may be contributing to a decline in collective political activism.

In conclusion, the extent to which society is becoming more or less engaged in political activism is subjective and depends on one's perspective. Some might argue that technological advancements have increased political engagement, while others point to growing disillusionment as evidence of decreasing involvement. Regardless of the perspective taken, it is clear that the landscape of political activism is complex and multifaceted.
